Bangs are in. There are Bettie Page bangs, the Cleopatra straight cut bangs and the fringe bangs; and then there are the short short bangs. Then there is the Audrey Hepburn hairdo in Breakfast at Tiffany's. On Audrey Hepburn, short bangs accentuate her doe like eyes, making them appear larger than they were. Your eyes are drawn to her eyes by the well shaped eyebrows and large eyes. Hepburn's updo gives her a flirtatious pixy look which is she is famous for.

Simple accessorizing can make or break your look - this includes, shoes, jewelry, veil and makeup, all of these things are what will create the whole new you!
What Not to do!
Here's Some Humorous Tips on What NOT To Do,
- start thinking about your hairstyle minutes before you're due to go out

- try anything new for the first time (hair products, styles, cuts)
- leave it until the last minute
Hair pins and combs will also help create the "whole" look:
Traditionally carved of tortoise shell, this "peineta", or Spanish comb gets an updated look with sparkling crystals on a rhodium plated base. The entire piece measures approximately 5.5" tall.
Placed in just the right spots, scattered throughout an updo or clustered alongside your chignon, these Heavenly 'pins are add subtle decoration to your hair. Made with freshwater pearls, clear crystals and glass pearls in white or ivory. Each piece is handcrafted with 14K gold or sterling silver wire and comes in a set of eight. Each silver hairpin is 2.5" long and the cluster measures approximately .3".

Trend Alert - The Messy Hair Bun That Looks Great
Fabulous article on BellaSugar on how to acheive perfect Rockabilly Hair. And there description is right on queue: "Rockabilly hair can best be described as a modern take on the bun—but it has more height, added texture, and just a little bit of edginess, since the look doesn't require every single hair to be in place."
The look can easily be created at home by following these five simple steps.
- Use a little bit of Phytovolume Actif Maximizing Volume Spray while blow-drying hair to give it shape and height.
- Next, Isolate a section of hair at the top and spritz it with a firm hold hairspray.
- Then, wrap hair around four hot rollers and let it set for fifteen minutes.
- Next, pull the rest of your hair into a ponytail and secure with a hair elastic (choose a color closest to your own hair color).
- Let the curls flop to one side and secure the ponytail to the top your head with bobby pins. Overlap the curls, pin them and then mist your entire head again with hairspray.
And, if you want a blast from the past check out the Hair Archives ... Great site with humor, old magazine shots of women's hair from the 30's on up. Very fun : )
